Design and Development
Developer:
Responsibilities:
Develop software components using various code, from Cobol to object-oriented
code in various environments from mainframe to client/server within
architectural, platform and other constraints. May develop object classes,
libraries, applications and interfaces to specifications. Document implementations
within defined standards. Implement designs, test for conformance and
design and prepare user documentation.
Qualifications: Proven
skill in appropriate applications, such as Cobol, object-oriented applications
using C++, Java, and/or Smalltalk in client server environment. GUI
software development experience with COM/ActiveX, Java, HTML, X-Windows/Motif,
etc useful.
Designer/Developer
Responsibilities:
Translate high level specifications and code into designs tailored to
project requirements and customer constraints using various software.
Integrate commercial and custom software as needed. Evaluate and recommend
alternatives based on development cost, performance and software complexity
issues. Perform integration and regression testing working with Quality
Assurance, architecture and business professionals. Provide team leadership
and direction as appropriate.
Qualifications: Experience
developing computer software for complex projects, typically in object-oriented
applications using C++, Java, Smalltalk, and/or Objective C in a client
server environment or in Cobol in a mainframe environment. Prior experience
typically includes developing applications in OMG CORBA-compliant Object
Request Broker such as Orbix, NEO, ObjectBroker, PowerBroker or VisiBroker;
relational and OO database management systems; commercial object class
libraries; interprocess communication technologies; and internet technologies.
Configuration
Manager
Responsibilities:
Create configuration policies and procedures necessary for both software
development and production. Work with the project team and architects
to establish the development and production environments. Evaluate and
select configuration management tools, maintain configuration for all
software including commercial as well as custom software. Collaborate
on software testing and appropriate documentation.
Qualifications: Experience
in configuration management software development, particularly in client/server
environment. Strong problem solving skills and positive development
team participation track record required. Experience with multiple version
control packages preferred.
Object
Oriented Mentor
Responsibilities:
Provide high level leadership and expertise in transition to object
oriented design. Guide the development of end user requirements and
work flow specifications. Lead analysis and production of diagrams and
work products. Create and instruct team members in the work and quality
standards for OO design and development to insure a quality process
and product. Continually assess team progress, anticipate obstacles
and take steps to avoid project problems and delays.
Qualifications: Extensive
experience in software and OO development in leadership roles on large,
complex projects. Excellent analytical and modeling skills required.
